Management Team

Ward Sparacio – Chief Executive Officer

Ward Sparacio holds over 20 years experience working within the medical device and medical imaging industries. At SonoSite, Ward was a member of the management team that introduced the world’s first hand-carried ultrasound imaging system. Ward also worked as the VP of Global Sales at Confirma, a leading developer of MRI CAD breast diagnostic software. Along with managing domestic sales, clinical and field operations, Ward served as an officer of the company and the managing director of the European subsidiary, Confirma GmbH, based in Berlin, Germany.

Doug Curl – Founder

Doug Curl has 20 years of experience in the hospital and healthcare industry. He was the founder and CEO of SmithCurl Communications. Over a 15-year period, he built SmithCurl into the premier supplier of Nurse Call and other communication systems to hospitals in New England. Based on his experience designing and integrating healthcare technologies, he conceived, prototyped and installed Carrot Medical’s first system. SmithCurl was sold to a strategic buyer in January 2009.

Craig Dickinson – Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Craig Dickinson brings a wealth of medical imaging and capital equipment sales and market development knowledge to the Carrot management team. Craig comes to Carrot with over 17 years of medical industry experience, primarily in sales leadership positions within the cardiac monitoring and imaging industries. Most recently, Craig was Director of Sales for Confirma, a leading developer of MRI CAD breast diagnostic software. Prior to Confirma, he was a Sales Director with SonoSite, an innovative imaging company that pioneered point-of-care ultrasound devices. Craig spent the majority of his management career at Spacelabs, a cardiac monitoring company. He has a BS in Management from Virginia Tech.

Richard Stewart – Vice President of Global Services

Richard Stewart has worked for, and with, medical device companies such as SeaMED, SonoSite, Confirma, Merge Healthcare, and GE Healthcare. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Carleton University and has been trained as a nuclear power plant operator on US Navy submarines. As Vice President of Global Services, Richard’s background developing and managing ISO and FDA regulated service and support processes will serve as a key asset for Carrot Medical.

Jeremy Wiggins – Vice President of Product Development & Strategic Marketing

Jeremy Wiggins has over 20 years of experience in product management, business development and marketing for medical device and medical imaging companies. Jeremy defines and develops Carrot Medical’s technology, products, and strategic marketing roadmaps. Jeremy is also the Management Team representative for all Quality & Regulatory activities. Jeremy has held senior positions at leading medical device companies such as ATL Ultrasound, Philips Medical and SonoSite. He has also provided consulting services for many other medical device companies. He attended the University of Washington & Washington State University and holds a degree in diagnostic medical ultrasound as well as several patents in that field.
